July 3 Fri - Grantville - Old Time / New Vogue dance
The carers of the Grantville Public Hall advise that an “Old Time / New Vogue dance is held at the hall on the first Friday of every month from 8Pm to 12PM. It has a very friendly and happy atmosphere with live music provided.
Entry fee is $5-00 and a plate of supper to share would be appreciated.
Everyone is most welcome.
Monies raised go to the upkeep of the Hall and other needy services.

July 4 Sat - Pakenham - The Rotary Club of Pakenham - A formal ball
The Rotary Club of Pakenham will be holding a formal ball on Saturday, 4th July 2009 to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service-Victorian Division.
The Ball will be held at the Pakenham John Street Public Hall from 8PM to 12.30 AM with Sherries, cheese & fruit served at 7.15PM.
Featuring two bands-The Chordettes Band and The Silhoettes.
Dress is formal, so dress to the hilt as prizes during the evening include Best Dressed Lady, Gent and Couple.

Bass Coast Chorale will present a winter musical afternoon at the Cowes Community Centre, 19 Thompson St. Cowes at 2 PM. Sunday 5th July.
A Special guest performance by brilliant young pianist Josh Hook who will play compositions by Chopin & Rachmaninov is amongst a wonderful and varied programme.

Starting off with English classes for migrants and Folk Art classes on Monday,
there are various other classes from Healthy Cooking on a budget, Creative Writing, Digital Photography to Integration Aide Training.

The Latrobe Shire Re-fencing Team is calling for more volunteers.
Two months on from Victoria’s devastating Black Saturday bushfires, Victorian Farmers Federation re-fencing volunteers in the Latrobe Shire remain hard at work, with more help urgently needed to complete the mammoth task.
While basic fencing skills would be an advantage, anyone willing to put in a few hours or days would be very welcome. Volunteers are encouraged to contact VFF Fencing Coordinator Wal Lawson on 1300 882 833 or submit their details through the VFF’s website www.vff.org.au
South Gippsland Ainimal Aid
South Gippsland Animal Aid are in desperate need of new homes for
several dogs and adorable kittens. Among these are two Staffordshire Terriers that answer to the names Woodstock and Herman,
both good natured all they need is a new home.
The kittens have all been desexed and Vet checked and they can be
purchased for $60 which is a considerable saving.
All of these animals are in crisis care and permanent homes are needed
urgently.

Feed Donations
Stockfeed Plus at 1996 Bass Highway, Corinella is accepting feed donations for delivery to fire affected communities.
In conjunction with the Victorian Farmers Federation, they can assist our farmers with deliveries of feed.
This will be an ongoing program with no set end date, as feed will be required for months to come.
