Feb 8 Wed - Milpara Community House - Work Readiness course
Milpara Community House in Korumburra is holding a Work Readiness course commencing on February 8th. The course will run for 8 consecutive Wednesdays from 9.30am – 12.30pm and on completion, participants will have gained skills in job selection, letter and resume preparation and interview techniques. Feb 11 Sat - Meeniyan - TOWN TAVERN NIGHT
Start’s the year’s entertainment with a mixed bag of performers, some old, Anne Hoyne from the very first night in 1984, some new including Reece Hank’s group Moon Unit and Hayman Kent, she sang at Moo’s
birthday bash before Christmas and another Meeniyan group Serenity making their first Tavern appearance.
It will as always be a great night and Raewyn will be MC  Saturday 11th February 2012,  8pm. At the Meeniyan Hall.

Milpara Community House will be holding an Introduction to Community Services course on

Red Cross is urging all Australians to re-gift their unwanted presents to one of our 163 Red Cross recycle stores around Australia. Unfortunately the stores cannot accept donations of electrical items or mattresses and we ask people not to dump rubbish or leave large items outside the store.  If you are unsure which items can be donated then please phone 1800 339 888 for advice or a store near you.
 
Free Home Safety Inspections for aged pensioners and the disabled or their Carers
The Bass Coast Council is supporting Free Home Safety Inspections for aged pensioners and the disabled or their Carers. These inspections help people identify potential safety hazards and check requirements for grab rails, flooring and slip issues, paths and tripping, ramps, taps and hot water issues.

Leongatha Golf Club
Leongatha Golf Club invites all golfers visiting Gippsland to play on one of Gippsland’s best courses.
It is located on the Koonwarra-Inverloch, just 10 minutes from both Inverloch & Leongatha.
Just phone 5664 3314 any day of the week and those with a Club handicap are most welcome to join the Men & Women competitions.
A golf pro is available all day Sunday and Tuesday & Thursday afternoons.
The Club house has recently been renovated & is available for hire.
