3mfm started in 1987 as a community Station in a cowshed at Mt Misery. The studios relocated later that year to Inverloch with transmitters at Bass, Outtrim and Foster.
The station is owned by members and operated by volunteers. All 3mfm programs are presented by volunteers. The Radio Station is funded through memberships and sponsorships. Hits & Memories is our theme.

HITS & MEMORIES

Central to 3mfm programming is a music format based on the top 40 hits of the 60s, 70s,80s, and 90s and current music. This is enhanced by the inclusion of selected country music, and we pride ourselves on playing 25% Australian Music.

Response to Community Service announcements, increased local business sponsorship and in-house research indicate the station has vastly increased it's listening audience over the years.
